Did you know that Bill Amend, the cartoonist who does Foxtrot, is an Amherst alum? You'll notice one of the characters is usually wearing a baseball cap with the letter "A" on it. Another famous cartoonist Amherst alum is Darby Conley, who does Get Fuzzy. Darby and I occasionally talked while at Amherst, and he and Jeff Conti went to the same high school.
